Accessibility Statement
Last updated: October 29, 2026
In short: We want everyone to be able to use CoupleMoment, including people who use screen readers, voice control, keyboard navigation, larger text or reduced motion. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA on couplemoment.com and in our iPhone and Android apps. We aren't fully there yet, and this page says where we fall short. If anything gets in your way, email hello@couplemoment.com and we'll help.
What standard do we follow?
We use WCAG 2.2 Level AA, the standard published by the W3C, as our target for the website and the apps. Our current status is partially conformant: most of the product meets the standard, and some parts don't yet.
What do we do to make CoupleMoment accessible?
- Screen readers: we label buttons, links and form fields for VoiceOver (iPhone) and TalkBack (Android), and hide purely decorative images from screen readers.
- Text and contrast: we design body text at 16px or larger and check text colors against the 4.5:1 contrast ratio.
- Touch targets: we size buttons for fingers, aiming for at least 44×44 points in the app.
- Keyboard: on the website we keep a visible focus outline, and our newer pages have a "skip to content" link.
- Motion: when your device is set to reduce motion, we turn off or shorten animations.
- Plain language: we write short, clear sentences and avoid jargon.
- Checks: we review new screens for accessibility before release, and we fix reported problems first.
Where do we still fall short?
- Some games are built around a visual board or cards and can be hard to play with a screen reader.
- Some illustrations and animated characters don't have a full text description.
- Some older blog pages and partner content (such as store pages we link to) may not meet the standard. We don't control third-party sites.
- Large system text sizes can make a few screens crowded.
We're working through these, starting with the screens people use most.
How do I report a problem or ask for help?
Email hello@couplemoment.com with "Accessibility" in the subject. Tell us the page or screen, what you were trying to do, and the device and assistive technology you use, if you're comfortable sharing that. We aim to reply within 2 business days. If something blocks you, we'll help you another way while we fix it.
