Best apps for long distance couples
For a game night apart, you need an app you can both open from different cities. CoupleMoment runs on iPhone and in any browser, so it works when one of you has Android, and your partner joins from a link. Paired and Agapé are better for a daily two-minute check-in; Candle adds streaks and Thumb Kisses.

Long distance changes what you need from a couples app. Some are built for a quick daily check-in across time zones; a few let you actually play together on a call. Here’s which app fits which kind of evening, whether it works when one of you is on Android, and what’s free.
Disclosure: we make CoupleMoment, so read this with that in mind. No app on this page paid to be here, and there are no affiliate links. We say where the others are stronger, and every fact links to its source.

Game night
Best for a game night over FaceTime: CoupleMoment
Get on a call, open a question deck and take turns reading, or start Would You Rather and both pick on your own phones. Your partner opens the link you send and joins in their browser. Every question deck and 13 couple games are free.
Daily
Best for a daily check-in: Agapé or Paired
Different time zones make live play hard on weekdays. Agapé and Paired send one question a day, and you see each other’s answer once you both reply. Agapé has a long distance question category; Paired puts “Long Distance Games” in its App Store subtitle, with games in Premium.
Small touches
Best for small touches during the day: Candle or Between
Candle has Thumb Kisses, which it pitches for long distance couples, plus widgets and streaks. Between is a private messenger for two with shared photos, a calendar and calls.
Android
Best when one of you is on Android
Every app here except CoupleMoment has a Google Play app. CoupleMoment isn’t on Google Play yet, but it runs in any browser, so an Android partner joins from your link without installing anything.

Method
How we checked
- Same day, same stores. We checked each app on November 5, 2026 on the US App Store, Google Play and the app’s own website.
- Only what the source says. Where a listing shows several prices without naming the plan, we wrote “varies”. Where an official page doesn’t say something outright, we say so.
- We make CoupleMoment. No app paid to be here and there are no affiliate links. Spotted something out of date? Tell us on our contact page and we’ll fix it.
